$97 – 14 week members online program

Includes 8-week skills development program with an extra 6 weeks to submit evidence of work for skills badges. This is the entry-level skills development program for all participants, with no obligation to upgrade to elevator mentoring pack.

Each week contains tools and techniques to help you build skills that are in high demand by Small Business employers, and will also help you grow your own business.

Seminars are a Fireside interview chat format with 3 program mentors, Audience Q&A, and client success stories as examples to develop options for your business.

Other stuff you need to know before purchasing (AKA, T&Cs, fine print, etc…)

IP you have access to on the membership site is given to you under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Australia (CC BY-SA 3.0 AU), which means you can

    • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
    • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material
      for any purpose, even commercially.

The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms, provided that you do the following conditions:

      1. Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
      2. ShareAlike — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.
      3. No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

This includes employees of educational businesses as it is not covered under Fair Dealings (Also known as Fair Use, which is a USA term) as the author of the tools is “out of pocket” if they don’t get referrals from your organization. The tools and techniques may be available freely online, however, as the intent of this release is usually lead generation for commercial purposes, this can be an expensive IP breach for any organization.

We strongly suggest contacting the Authors’ attributed to the IP and how they use it to avoid claims of “Passing off” the quality of training is as good or better than the Author can provide (which is considered misleading advertising in Australia). Particularly in the formal learning sector where the regulators of both RTOs and Unis may use anti-plagiarism, designed to limit academic cheating students. However, It also provides information to the regulator as to if you have permission to use the IP as your own training content for commercial purposes, which can affect the education providers continuing registration and financial viability requirement.

Mentoring sessions are an optional upgrade, not essential to complete the program:

You may apply to join our elevator mentoring program when you submit your workload plan in week 3 of the program. This is intended to be of more benefit to people who are looking to start a business right now, or are working for a small business right now and can’t afford for you to make mistakes on the job. The Mentors will advise you and allocate tasks to do in the 4 mentoring sessions, so if you cannot commit to the extra hours of work required in the last 6 weeks of the program to implement advice, the mentoring upgrade is not suitable for you.

Additional IP gained from the mentoring sessions that utilize the mentor’s expertise will be subject to conditions of use and negotiated directly with the mentors. As professional service providers, this commonly comes under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with clients, and it is also standard practice for paid consultants to ask a prospective client to sign an NDA to protect the commercial interest of both parties and get an agreement on the rules of engagement.

As with any agreement, you should seek your own professional advice before signing any agreement to ensure it is fair. In this case, not signing the NDA may affect the quality of the mentoring session. This may also have an impact on your ability to claim a refund, repair, or replacement mentoring session from the Inception Network, as will booking a mentoring session with a mentor and discussing matters not listed in the Mentors area of expertise when you book the session.

If you would like to ask any questions, please email idea@inception.net.au, or if you like we can send you a link to our booking system to book a call at a time that suits you.
